Carl Georg was born in Sydney, Australia and currently lives on Tweed Coast of NSW. His interest in drumming started around the age of 12 with early influences such as Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Derrick McKenzie of Jamiroquai and Danny Carey of Tool. He started taking drum lessons around the age of 14 and was involved in high school musicals, choirs and school bands. Later he went on to complete a Bachelor of Music majoring in drums. His musical horizons were broadened during his time at university and his interest in many other musical styles grew, such as Jazz, Latin, Blues, Funk, Rnb.
Carl has a passion for music and sharing it with others. He is a versatile player that can fit into any musical style or situation. He’s been privileged to play with some of Australia’s best artists in the Northern Rivers and Byron Bay regions. He’s performed at festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Mullumbimby Music Festival, Island Vibe Music Festival and his playing has featured on award winning recordings.
